On May 5, 2019, ALTHAUS Group is celebrating an important event—exactly ten years since the day when ALTHAUS Consulting LLC was included into the National Register of Legal Entities.

In ten years, the Company has come a long way—from the 20 sq. m office on Malaya Gruzinskaya street and the first client’s payment of RUB 8,000 for tax consulting services to the five offices in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novorossiysk, London and more than 4,000 projects implemented.

Andrey Tsaruk, ALTHAUS Group executive partner recalls how it all began

“When we created the consulting company in 2009, nobody was thinking this far ahead, ten years down the road. It was the time of great economic upheavals in Russia and abroad, so the company was developing very quietly and gradually. Our experience of working at the Big4 and industrial companies was our major asset as it helped us better understand the other side and feel what the client’s “pain” was. We took inspiration in a simple idea: the quality service, maximum focus on the client, and complex practical approach would be in demand on the market. That hypothesis proved to be true in the very first months.”

Today, ALTHAUS Group is providing consulting services for major international players, diversified holding companies, state-owned enterprises, leaders of the industry, investment funds, banks, and private clients. Thanks to the complex approach, the clients of the Company have no need to mobilize other resources for the implementation of their projects.

Expertise and qualification of ALTHAUS Group have been recognized by the reputable rating agencies and editions both in Russia and abroad: The Legal 500, Chambers&Partners, IFLR1000, International Tax Review, Euromoney, RAEX, Kommersant, Pravo.ru, PREQVECA, Mergers.ru.

All of this has been made possible by the team of professionals, whose invaluable experience allows us to provide services of the highest quality, constantly develop in the new areas, and quickly respond to the market challenges. What is more, today’s mission of ALTHAUS Group is to prepare new leaders of the Russian economy by providing young specialists with an enabling environment for personal and professional growth.

“More and more often, I hear from our newer younger employees that they like our team and ambiance. That is the greatest reward for us. We will continue to improve our company so that the young talents feel at home,” said Rostislav Shatenok, ALTHAUS Group executive partner. “We have also extended this mission outside our company supporting the young talents in schools and universities. We participate actively in the Legacy Endowment project aiming to create endowments in Russian schools so that graduates return to their alma mater as mentors for the new generation.”

Staying true to its mission statement “Ahead of Progress,” ALTHAUS Group remains optimistic about the next decade. The future promises new ideas and achievements, new challenges and innovative solutions, new projects and successes of our clients. Let’s go!
